FMC Summer Dance Camp 2026
BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG SUMMER IN THE CITY!

For over a decade FMC has provided three summer enrichment programs for children: Summer Dance Camp, Summer School Residencies, and through partnership with After School Matters, paid camp counselor internship opportunities.
This summer, youth will enjoy an exciting season of dance instruction with city-wide performances and weekly field trips including Millennium Park, and Navy Pier. Students have fun while learning, making new friends, and expanding their horizons by visiting some of Chicago's top venues. They learn techniques in Ballet, Modern, Latin, Hip Hop, and African at one of two convenient camp locations. Experienced professional teaching artists host students for these five and six-week dance intensives.

Summer Camp Internships
ASM APPLICATIONS OPEN IN APRIL!
Forward Momentum Chicago, in partnership with After School Matters, offers a variety of summer internship opportunities. Search the After School Matters program portal to find PAID internships, morning and afternoon shifts, for camp counselors at Summer Dance Camp in Avondale and Englewood.
Camp Counselors Responsibilities Include
Daily administrative duties, arrival and dismissal support, promotion of student safety and engagement, maintenance of environmental health protocols, meal distribution, and warm-up/choreography review.
